Adding The Resource Monitor

Ever concerned about running out of memory and crashing when opening several programs or graphics files? Rather than look for a Help, About menu to tell you your memory status or downloading and installing a shareware monitor, you can use the Resource Monitor that comes with Windows.

To put the Resource Monitor in the Taskbar, go to the 'C:\Windows' directory and look for the 'rsrcmtr.exe' file. Right-click on the file and select 'Send To->Desktop'. Now double-click on the new shortcut and the Resource Monitor will appear in the Taskbar.

You can also put a shortcut to the rsrcmtr.exe file into the Startup folder to have the Resource Monitor automatically start when you boot up your computer.
